Michael Radicone

President & Chief Science Officer · Specialty Product Lead, HTRI

Michael Radicone is an inventor, scientist, and entrepreneur who has spent more than 45 years at the frontier of fluid dynamics, nanobubble science, and applied industrial chemistry — developing patented technologies that solve problems no conventional approach has been able to crack.

As founder, President, and Chief Science Officer of I2 Air Fluid Innovation, Radicone invented the CIUB (Chemically Initiated Ultrafine Bubble) process — a patented nanobubble platform that underpins the I 2 Air Fluid Innovation product line. His body of work spans heat exchanger fouling prevention, toxic mercury remediation in wastewater, flue gas scrubber enhancement, dental waterline microbial control, and aortic catheter disinfection. He holds four granted US patents and one provisional application advancing to formal filing, all assigned to I 2 Air Fluid Innovation.

Radicone’s research has been conducted in partnership with 13 universities and validated across eight government studies, including a two-year US Navy study on marine biofouling. He is the recipient of seven governmental grants, is published and peer-reviewed across multiple journals including the NIH National Library of Medicine, and is a recognized international conference presenter. He received the Mike Ackrill Award from the UK Heat Transfer Society and will speak at 2026 Global Nanobubble Symposium at NJIT. He also serves as Specialty Product Lead at HTRI, the global authority on heat transfer research.
